ForePlay
ForePlay
A sensuous spring fling to dance with the bittersweet eros of desire and creation
Come, sync your heartbeat to the soft beginnings of spring. The world is waking up, whispering 'come play with me.'
"so yummy... soooo yummy"
"beyond words"
"I'm still buzzing"
"a holy experience"
"so yummy... soooo yummy" "beyond words" "I'm still buzzing" "a holy experience"
Let us drink the ambrosia of the shimmering spring with every cell in our body. Icicles unraveling their clenched grasp…surrendering to fluency under the touch of the sun. The ground softening under your feet…embracing your step once again. The sweet return of the chattering of robins mimicking the golden light dancing upon your eyelids in the wee hours of morning. The monotony of brown and gray overtaken by the emergence of ten thousand shades of emerald. The sweet and savory mingling of the honeyed nectar of cherry blossoms and fresh damp earth carried on the winds and into your lungs…tantalizing the depths of you. Color awakens from it's slumber…jubilant pastel explosions of life bursting forth like the gentlest of fireworks everywhere you look. The desperate need to strip away all the barriers you've worn to brace against the harshness of winter…letting the air delight your skin…setting you on fire.
The universe is beckoning you to get closer to the erotic hum of life, to be tickled by existence. Will you answer its birdcall?
Sensing is a form of thinking, it's how we bring the world into our bodies and transmute it into expression to release back into the world. Every perception is an invitation into revelation. Creativity is simply a love affair between infinity and your body.
Through guided free movement and reflection we will explore the questions...
What is it that you desire?
What is waiting to be born?
How do you use pleasure as a generative force?
I cannot promise you a destination from this series of playful explorations. The destination is totally up to you, this is YOUR creation, your journey. This is a series to explore making your journey as delicious as you can handle.

The Practical:
Classes are 60-90 min in length
All classes will be guided free movement based, meaning you can move or dance in any which way you feel called, but we will use movement as our primary portal to insight. You will not need to have your camera on for this series as we will steep in our imagination’s gaze.
There will be space for writing reflections and sharing with the community.
Classes will be recorded and available for playback.
-
Movement that can look like anything at all... from dancing with the whole of your body or moving just a single picky and anything in between. There is no right or wrong way to move. But there is always an invitation to pour more of yourself in every movement, big or small. The real question is how available is your body to the moment?
-
I always encourage live participation. Even through the lens of a screen, there is always a communal energy brought to the live experience. Plus, life just gets in the way, and it's often easier to dedicate time to yourself by attending events live. But, I recognize that I cannot accommodate every time zone or schedule, so yes, recordings will be available within 24 hours of the event. Recordings will be available for playback through the entirety of spring to revisit as much as you like.

This is a devotional practice to exquisite attention. You've already dedicated precious time and resources to be here, so I invite you to stretch your capacity to really be here. How can you arrive to the space in a way that will have the most profound impact on you? Here are some suggestions to make the experience as lux as possible.
- Wear clothing that feels yummy against your skin.
- Use good speakers or headphones if they are available to you. You will not need to have your camera on for this series. You will not need to see me. This is an invitation to see more clearly through your imagination's eyes and sink into our lesser used senses.
- Get outside. As long as you can be outside in an environment that will not inhibit your impulse for movement, bringing this practice outside and in relationship with the earth is a simple way to enrich your experience.
- Bring a notebook and pen. There may be writing prompts sprinkled in and even if there isn't, you are always welcome to write reflections along the way. I only ask that you notice where the impulse comes from: a way to write what you've just embodied? or a way to distract you from yourself when you're uncomfortable?
- If you prefer a seated movement practice, a stability ball can be a fun addition to bring a little more movement to the whole of your body.
- Turn your phone on 'do not disturb' and limit distractions.
- Give yourself a few minutes before class to allow your day to begin to fall away. Give yourself a bit of time after class to integrate in any way that feels good and important to you.
- Come with a willingness to be moved. Literally and metaphorically.
